The Chase

“Don’t go chasing waterfalls. Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to.
I know that you’re gonna have it your way or nothing at all, But I think you’re moving too fast.”  -TLC

90’s babies unite! We all know the song and we all secretly know all the words and louder the radio those rare times this song comes up. We loved the song, but did we know what it really meant at the time?

Growing up, I was always chasing something. Chasing the years, chasing the boys that I couldn’t have, chasing the people who I desperately wanted to be best friends with, chasing the school work and the good times. I was always looking forward to the next year. When I was 12 I COULD NOT wait to turn 13. When I was 13 I COULD not wait to turn 16, then 18, and then 21. I couldn’t wait to leave high school and go away to college (you will eventually hear all about that dramatic point in my life). When I was in college I could not wait to graduate and enter the “real world”. I couldn’t wait to move away, get my own place, buy my own car, make my own money, and do what I wanted to do whenever I wanted to do it.

Now that I am 24 with my own place, own car, own money, and my own freedom, I often find myself not chasing the future anymore. Matter of fact, I find myself chasing the PAST. Isn’t it funny how that works out?

Creating my own personal blog is something I have been trying to do for YEARS now. With life getting in the way every time, my blogs often got pushed to the side. I am a big believer in fate and as cliche as it sounds, I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. So, maybe this time is the right time to try this again!

WARNING**If you are looking for a blog that is about one specific topic, then this will not be the blog for you. BUT, if you are looking for something about everyday life and struggles, product reviews, monthly favorites, CATS, love, friendship, and whatever else I can think of, then you might want to stick around 🙂
